October Book Drop Off and Book Sale
Have you exhausted all of your reading/viewing/listening material? Well, October is your month to trade in and restock. We have many many children’s books and activity books, lots of piano music, and our usual selection of non-fiction and fiction books.
If you have books to donate, bring them to the Community Center Annex on October 10 between 10am and 1 pm. We are accepting books, CDs and DVDs. But, please, NO cook books. This is in preparation for a sale later in the month.
Because of the pandemic, the sale this fall will be by appointment only. To reserve a one-hour time slot, send an e-mail to howieandalix@centurytel.net with your name, the number of attendees, and your three preferred times. If the hour doesn’t matter to you, specify your preferred days. Sale dates/times are as follows:
- Thursday, 10/22 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm
- Friday, 10/23 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm
- Saturday, 10/24 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm
- Sunday, 10/25 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm

- Wednesday, 10/28 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm
Appointment requests will be accepted starting October 15 and will be on a first come first serve basis. We will schedule the first slot that meets your preferences. The number of allowed shoppers each hour will depend on the current county guidelines. If we are still in Phase 2 that will be 5, or 10 if we reach Phase 3.
Masks and social distancing will be required, and guests will have to sanitize their hands upon entry.
Our normal rules of $10 minimum for credit cards and no electronic scanning apply.
