The Greater Hansville Community Center (GHCC) was founded in the 1940s with the goal of strengthening social connections within the community. In 1987, the Board raised funds to build a permanent building in Buck Lake Park, which continues to be operated and maintained today. In the years ahead, we anticipate having an opportunity to purchase the land beneath the community center, which is currently leased from Kitsap County.

Alongside this goal, several maintenance, repair, and renovation projects are underway. Top priorities include a kitchen remodel and replacement of the annex roof. To support these efforts, we’ve launched the “Building Our Future” campaign, where supporters can purchase personalized engraved bricks to be installed at the east and west entrances of the community center.
GHCC is entirely volunteer-run, with dedicated community members organizing events such as monthly neighbors’ lunches, children’s events for Halloween and Christmas, and seasonal gatherings like the St. Patrick’s Day Dinner and Fourth of July Breakfast.
The center is also available for private rentals, including birthdays, anniversaries, and wedding receptions. The premises are offered free of charge for memorial services in honor of Hansville residents.
Thank you for your continued support as the Board actively seeks donations to help ensure the Greater Hansville Community Center remains a vibrant gathering place for generations to come.
