“The mission of the Hansville Helping Hands and Cemetery, a Washington State non-profit corporation,
is to assist in serving the needs of our community and neighbors, and to continue to manage
the Hansville Cemetery in a manner that maintains the spirit and heart of the community.”
The ongoing services we routinely provide are:
- Oversee and maintain the Hansville Cemetery.
- Operate a medical equipment loaning program.
- Provide emergency financial assistance.
- Help with transportation options to and from medical appointments and the local food bank.
Meetings & Dues
Meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Driftwood Key Clubhouse located at 37608 Vista Key Dr NE, Hansville, WA 98340. Note that November and December meeting dates will not fall on regularly scheduled days (the fourth Thursday of the month) due to holidays. All past or present Greater Hansville residents can join and membership dues are only $10 per year.
Free Cemetery Plot Information
If you are or have been a permanent resident of Hansville (including residents of the Cliffside development) for over a year, you are eligible for a free cemetery plot at the Hansville Cemetery. You can reserve a burial plot by contacting us. In addition to the residency condition, another requirement is that your loved ones provide a flat grave stone and have it in place within a year after burial. We can help you get one for a very reasonable cost if assistance is required.
Annual Events & Fundraisers
KITSAP GREAT GIVE
On Tuesday April 11, 2023, Kitsap Community Foundation hosts the Kitsap Great Give which solicits donations for non-profit organizations that are in or provide services to Kitsap County. Early donations can be made from Saturday, April 1 to Monday April 10, 2023.
MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE
Memorial Day Service is held the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, May 28, 2023, at 12:30 pm at the Hansville Cemetery to honor the veterans buried there. The Cemetery is located at 37900 Hansville Rd NE, Hansville WA 98340. The service includes a flag ceremony, reciting the Star-Spangled Banner, and reading of the names of each veteran.
GARDEN TOUR
The annual Garden Tour fundraiser is a self-guided driving tour featuring a variety of gardens throughout the Hansville area. Pre-purchased tickets are required with limited ticket quantities available.

ARTS AND CRAFTS MARKET
The Arts & Crafts Market is an annual fundraiser which includes approximately 30 independent vendors selling handmade items. The event also includes a gift basket raffle and toy drive to benefit local families as well as homemade baked goods for purchase. No tickets are required for attending the event.

MCTAKEOVER
The McTakeover is a fundraising event at the McDonald’s located at 10977 NE State Hwy 104 in Kingston. Come support Hansville Helping Hands while members volunteer at the Kingston McDonald’s working behind the counter and selling coupon books. Our organization receives a percentage of the proceeds during the volunteer time with a portion of sales also donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Western Washington.
