2019 Rummage Sale Set Up and Take Down
Schedule for Volunteers
There will be some preparatory work done on Sunday (7/28) and Monday (7/29) but only for a skeleton crew and specific people will be called to help. The schedule below indicates the days that volunteers will be needed for setup and takedown activities, as well as helping during the days of the sale.

WEDNESDAY: July 31
Setup tables – WEST ROOM and EAST ROOM Remove shelving, card tables and other set up items from rafters in ANNEX Sweep and add skirting paper around tables ANNEX Move Handicap Parking Signs to SW part of parking lot. ** (KCP Notification required) |

THURSDAY: August 1
Move Dumpsters (Confirm day WM does their usual pick up so they can move the dumpsters to the south east end of the parking lot then. Mark the location with chalk.) **(KCP Notification required) Use leaf blower to clean dumpster area Begin Tent Setup involving north half of the parking lot (Located in NPP Boathouse.) (Military helpers + Locals w/ trucks) Bring shelves once tents are up (Located in Storage Bldg. Delaney Rd.) START Security: 2 Volunteers on duty – DAISY LOCK gates at dusk **(KCP written permission required) |

FRIDAY: August 2
Open Park gates BEFORE 6:00 am ** Finish Tent Setup (Military helpers + locals with able bodies) Setup outside Tables once Tents are up Set up peg board panels and outdoor tables in Alley. Bring up BINS, BOXES and FURNITIURE (Location: NPP Boathouse & Wally’s Storage @ Twin Spits Rd.) ALL Departments MUST have a Representative ON SITE to direct shelves, bins, boxes, furniture and all other items to their departments Setup plastic Fencing (Garden Area – See map for location) Security: 2 Volunteers on duty – DAISY LOCK gates at dusk ** |

SATURDAY: August 3Open Park gates BEFORE 6:00 am **
Continue bringing up Bins, Furniture, Tools, and everything else in storage. ALL Dept. Leads or rep must be on site to assist directing their items to their department Departments organize, display and price Security: 2 Volunteers on duty – DAISY LOCK gates at dusk ** |

Volunteers Optional work day – Light lunch for those who do come in. Security: 2 Volunteers on duty – DAISY LOCK gates at dusk ** MONDAY: August 5 Open Park gates BEFORE 6:00 am Bring small camper to be used as ‘secure site’ onsite. Park at the west end of County Maintenance building **(KCP written permission required) ALL Department volunteers on site Mark location for Randy-Kan delivery (LOCATION: Southwest corner of parking lot.) Organize display areas; begin pricing merchandise Return empty BINS & BOXES to NPP Boathouse; Keep grounds clean. Security: 2 Volunteers on duty – DAISY LOCK gates at dusk ** |

Finish Organizing Departments. All pricing must be finished today. Take empty BINS & BOXES to Boathouse Clean area for opening day REMOVE BOLLARD AND UNLOCK GATE FROM PARKING LOT TO BALL FIELD ** (KCP has key to bollard and gate – arrange for this to be done with KCP personnel) PREPARE Field Parking site. ** Reserve Picnic Shelter for Lunch **(KCP notification required) Put up “NO PARKING” SIGNS ALONG ROAD. (Borrow them from County Roads Dept. at Poulsbo site) Security: 2 Volunteers on duty – DAISY LOCK gates at dusk ** |

Reserve picnic shelter and ball field ** Parking team arrive early SALE DAY! 9:00 am – 4:00 pm Department volunteers arrive by 8:00 am. Car pool if possible Volunteers needed in shifts between 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (Approx. 35 – 45 helpers) Remove items NOT to be sold at ½ price on Sunday after 4:00 pm today Security: 2 Volunteers on duty – DAISY LOCK gates at dusk ** |
